As the daughter of a skilled upholsterer, Nele quite literally grew up surrounded by the scent of leather and coarsely woven linen. Craftsmanship was never an abstract concept, it was part of her daily life.
Today, she channels her natural sense of aesthetics into her work as an interior designer. SOFAR was born from her desire to create sustainable design, thoughtfully made and consciously chosen.
As a mother of two, Nele has spent years travelling with her family, discovering cultures and landscapes around the world. Yet she finds just as much joy closer to home: tending her vegetable garden or taking long walks with her dog, Charlie.

SOFAR features a modular design that allows you to expand into a larger configuration or scale back whenever your needs change. It adapts entirely to your lifestyle.
If you wish to expand your SOFAR, simply select your desired configuration and you will receive a personalised quote based on your existing setup.
Would you prefer to exchange a module or reduce the size of your sofa? That’s perfectly possible. You can expand, swap or downsize your configuration at any time by contacting us at hello@sofar.club.
New season, new interior – or simply in the mood for a different colour? You can easily refresh your SOFAR with new interchangeable covers.
To order, simply contact us at hello@sofar.club. We will schedule an appointment to select your new fabric, and within four weeks your sofa will feel brand new.
Are you a business client? Ask about our maintenance subscriptions. We offer professional cleaning and care once or twice a year, or a complete refresh when your space calls for it.
You can request a quote for your desired configuration, fabric and frame type via our online configurator.
We will then send you a personalised quote as soon as possible and invite you to our showroom to test the sofa and experience the materials in real life.

At its core lies a robust aluminium base frame that retains its strength and quality for decades to come. Built to endure, it forms the foundation of a sofa made to stay.
Inside, we use pocket springs derived from the mattress industry. Unlike traditional foam fillings, these springs maintain their resilience over time, ensuring lasting comfort without sagging.
Every element of SOFAR is designed to be detachable. In case of wear, stains or damage, individual parts can be easily maintained, repaired or replaced extending the life of your sofa even further.
As your lifestyle or workspace evolves, SOFAR evolves with you. Add a module, change the covers or return a section, we’ll take care of it.
